UtilityGuard is an independent bill-audit service. We surface rate-class errors, surcharge mistakes, duplicate charges, and overcharges for you to dispute with your utility. We are not a licensed energy broker, marketer, or aggregator under NY PSL §66-t or any state equivalent. We do not negotiate, switch, or place customers on alternative supply contracts.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account or using our services, including your business name, email address, number of locations, self-reported rate class, and utility bill PDF files you upload for auditing.
We also collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the platform.
We do not collect banking data, supply-contract details, or utility-account credentials. We do not sign in to your utility account on your behalf, switch you between suppliers, or place you on alternative rate schedules. See Terms of Service §2 for the non-broker scoping.
